International House

ASU’s dormitory, called International House (nicknamed “I-House”) was built in March, 1994, and is located at 2.3 kilometers southwest of the Nagakute Campus. This is a residence for international students.
There is school bus service between I-House and ASU (Nagakute Campus). The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Municipal bus service is also available. It takes you to the nearest subway station in about 10 minutes. The subway will take you to the central part of Nagoya in 20 minutes.
An administrative person lives at I-House to provide support to international students. The administrative person, by working closely with the staff of the Center for International Programs insures that students can live a safe and comfortable life at I-House.

Dormitory Rooms

There are 5 different types of room (type A through type E) at I-House. Each room is equipped with a bed, a desk, a desk lamp, a refrigerator, an air-conditioner and an in-coming-calls-only telephone. A-type rooms are individual accommodations with a shared toilet and bathroom. B-type rooms have a private toilet and bathroom. The other types of rooms share a toilet and bathroom among the roommates.

Events at I-House

I-House is used not only as a residence for international students, but is also used for a variety of events such as university classes, residential training for club activities and seminars, open classes, and cultual exchange gatherings with local residents.
