JR Nagoya station is part of the JR Central Towers, one of the largest train stations in the world.
Here you can catch the Shinkansen as well as city, Meitetsu, and Kintetsu subway lines.
There are also a huge number of stores in the building.
About a ten-minute walk from JR Nagoya is La Vamo Sasashima, which has a game center, movie theater, and a MOS Burger.
“Sakae Underground” is just like the name suggests. You can shop or eat at many of the surrounding
buildings without having to go outside. The Crystal Plaza acts as a hub.
Just outside Sakae Underground is Oasis 21. You can find restaurants and womens’ clothing stores here,
as well as the Pokémon Center, JUMP Shop, and NHK Character Store.
There are many shopping streets in Osu, including Akamondoori. They sell plenty of otaku merchandise, both new and used.
Urban Square, a large game center, can also be found there.
