Born in 1905 as a female educational institution, Aichi Shukutoku University, currently coed, was founded in 1975 to respond to emerging needs of society. With two vibrant campuses in Aichi, ASU holds about 10,000 students in eight Faculties currently.

ASU is located in Aichi, central Japan with an easy access to Kyoto and Tokyo in about 30 min. and 1.5 hours by bullet train, respectively. Locally, Aichi and its neighboring prefectures hold rich tradition and history as well as prominent manufacturers like Toyota.
