a(Integrated Japanese)
  1. Engage in various tasks such as listening, reading, speaking, writing, and interaction based on familiar topics and themes.
  2. Acquire the linguistic knowledge (vocabulary, grammar, expressions, Kanji, etc.) and language skills (note-taking, information gathering, presentation techniques, etc.) necessary to complete these tasks.
b(Listening)
  1. Listen to conversations and monologues on familiar topics, taking notes on key points and organizing information.
  2. Engage in conversations and role-plays related to listening themes to expand vocabulary and expressive range.
  3. Perform shadowing exercises based on various real-life conversation scenarios.
c(Introduction to Academic Writing 1)
  1. Discuss familiar topics in pairs or groups and brainstorm ideas.
  2. Learn the rules of Japanese composition. Practice writing by creating outlines and paying close attention to structure, writing style, and appropriate expressions.
  3. Read each other's compositions and listen to presentations to engage in Q&A sessions and provide mutual feedback.
d(Japanese Language Practice)
  1. Read texts based on specific themes.
  2. Extract and interpret information from graphs and tables.
  3. Conduct surveys and summarize the results in writing.
  4. Deliver presentations regarding personal opinions and survey findings.
Elective Classes Tutorial This class provides personalized instruction to address individual weaknesses and further develop strengths. Students will set their own goals and plans, with full support from the instructor to achieve them.
JLPT Preparation Aim to pass the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) and build the necessary skills to succeed.
Japanese Culture & Society I & II Students will explore Japanese culture and society to deepen their understanding of cross-cultural communication.
Flower Arrangement This is a cultural course that offers students the opportunity to study“Kado”, a traditional Japanese artform. Through the study of flower arrangment, particularly of seasonal flowers, the students will study the particular importance of seasons in Japan.
Calligraphy This course focuses on the traditional artform of Shodo, or Japanese calligraphy. Through practical experiences of learning how to prepare the ink, drawing lines, learning to write Hirgana and Kanji, the students will learn form and brush stroke order. Additionally there will be other projects related to word art and stone carving.
