Exchange students must take at least ASU 14 credits per semester.
Qualification for applicants
- English proficiency shall be equivalent to TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5 (CEFR B2 Level) or above for non-native English speakers.
*It is not mandatory to submit the official score report of TOEFL or IELTS.
In case the student applicant does not have the official score report, an official letter from home university which certifies that her/his English proficiency is equivalent or beyond the abovementioned requirement will serve.
- Grade F (Fail) must be less than 10% of the total academic results at the last educational institution.
Japanese language class
Program students are recommended to take “Introductory Japanese” during the semester.
(one 90-minute lecture, 15 weeks, 2 credits).
*We start this new Japanese class instead of 2-week intensive course. Please note from 2019 Fall semester there is no 2-week intensive Japanese course that we offered before.
Students often experience a situation in which people cannot understand English well and/or cannot find an English description in their student life (including on campus). It is not required to have Japanese language learning background when they apply for this program, but we recommend them to study everyday Japanese before their departure in order to make their study abroad smoother.
