  1. Read texts on a wide range of themes and genres, and engage in various tasks such as "comprehension, summarizing, organizing personal thoughts, and exchanging opinions."
  2. Acquire the linguistic knowledge (vocabulary, grammar, expressions, etc.) and language skills (information gathering/organization, presentation techniques, etc.) necessary to complete these tasks.
b(Listening)
  1. Listen to extended speech, such as lectures and presentations. Practice essential skills for university-level listening, including taking notes on unfamiliar words for later research and summarizing heard content.
  2. Comprehend conversations, formulate appropriate responses based on understanding, and engage in interactions.
  3. Students practice shadowing using a variety of real-life conversational situations.
c(Introduction to Academic Writing 2)
  1. Read various model texts to understand content, expressions, and logical structure.
  2. Create outlines to clarify main points and arguments, and write compositions that effectively convey ideas to the reader.
  3. Review personal writing and make revisions based on feedback received.
d(Japanese Language Practice)
  1. Read multiple information sources (articles, reports, etc.) related to modern social themes.
  2. Extract and interpret information from graphs and tables.
  3. Conduct information searches and surveys, and summarize the results in writing.
  4. Organize personal thoughts and survey findings to create a formal report and deliver a presentation.
Elective Classes Tutorial This class provides personalized instruction to address individual weaknesses and further develop strengths. Students will set their own goals and plans, with full support from the instructor to achieve them.
JLPT Preparation Aim to pass the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) and build the necessary skills to succeed.
Japanese Culture & Society I & II Students will explore Japanese culture and society to deepen their understanding of cross-cultural communication.
Flower Arrangement This is a cultural course that offers students the opportunity to study“Kado”, a traditional Japanese artform. Through the study of flower arrangment, particularly of seasonal flowers, the students will study the particular importance of seasons in Japan.
Calligraphy This course focuses on the traditional artform of Shodo, or Japanese calligraphy. Through practical experiences of learning how to prepare the ink, drawing lines, learning to write Hirgana and Kanji, the students will learn form and brush stroke order. Additionally there will be other projects related to word art and stone carving.
