台湾の大学キャンパスを訪ね
建築計画や歴史への理解を深め、建築への知見を広げました。

　2026年3月20日（金）から25日（水）にかけて、建築学部のヴェッキ・ピエトロ講師が研究旅行のため台湾を訪れました。

　美しいゴシック様式の建物が特徴で、日本統治時代に「台湾総督府台北高等学校」として設立された国立台湾師範大学では、楊善媛先生と学生2名による詳細なキャンパスツアーが行われました。本学と同様に女子大から共学へと移行した台中市の静宜大学では、邱惠娟先生の運転するゴルフカートのような乗り物に乗って、非常に楽しいツアーとなりました。
　そして、高雄市にある、中国風とモダニズム建築を混ぜた、緑豊かな文藻外国語大学キャンパスでは、郭家勲先生と陳琴萍先生にご案内いただき、昼食までご馳走になりました。

　どの訪問先でも、キャンパス内のスクリーンに「愛知淑徳大学の皆様、ようこそ」というメッセージが映し出されるなど、細やかなおもてなしによって迎えていただきました。

　この研究旅行では、国立台湾大学、輔仁大学、東海大学といった他の著名な教育機関も訪問しました。

　本活動は調査が主目的でしたが、同時に本学と台湾の提携校との国際的な絆を一層深めるとともに、学生たちが海外の建築に関する新たな概念を学び、知見を広げる機会となりました。

Research tour of university campus architecture in Taiwan

From March 20 to 25, 2026, Pietro Vecchi of the Faculty of Architecture at Aichi Shukutoku University traveled to Taiwan on a study tour.

The purpose of the trip was to gather information on the planning, history, facilities, and characteristics of university campuses in Taiwan. He was assisted by two students from the Major in Architecture and Interior Design of the Faculty of Creative Expression. They also visited universities which have exchange agreements with Shukutoku, and thus had many precious encounters.

For example, at National Taiwan Normal University—which features a beautiful Gothic-style building and was established during the Japanese colonial era as the “Taiwan Governor-General’s Taipei High School”— they received a detailed tour from Professor Yang and two students. At Providence University in Taichung City—which, like our university, transitioned from an all-women’s college to a coeducational institution—they enjoyed a fun campus tour in a golf cart-like vehicle driven by Professor Kelly Chiu. Finally, at the lush campus of Wenzao University of Foreign Languages in Kaohsiung City—which blends Chinese and modernist architectural styles—they were guided by Professors Chapman Kuo and Tilla Chen, and were even treated to lunch.

All of these visits were prepared in detail by their hosts, even by writing "Welcome Aichi Shukutoku University" in screens around the campuses.

The study tour also comprehended visits to other famous institutions, as National Taiwan University, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Tunghai University.

Besides being a research-purpose tour, this activity consolidated the existing international relationship between Shukutoku and its Taiwanese partners, and allowed students to learn several new concepts and notions on foreign architecture.
