Curriculum Features & The Four-Year Academic Plan

  • 1. Build Foundational English Skills with the FEP (First-year English Program)

    In the first year, students are placed into small classes of about 15, organized based on their TOEIC® IP test scores. Using a quarter system (four terms per year), the curriculum aims to improve English ability through an intensive system of focused practice and reinforcement.

  • 2. Select a Study Abroad Destination Based on Your Field of Interest

    Our "Applied Skills Development Program" supports students in acquiring qualifications in accounting, IT, and English. For students aiming for higher-level qualifications, we also offer a "Qualification Exam Support Program" that subsidizes exam fees for those who meet certain criteria.

  • 3. Experience Internationally Diverse, All-English Classes

    All specialized faculty courses are conducted entirely in English. This approach cultivates the ability to understand specialized content in English and ensures you will acquire the skills to express yourself effectively in the language.

Your Four-Year Journey (Plan for 2026 Academic Year)

  • 1st year

    Master the Four Core English Skills

    You will thoroughly polish the four core skills of English: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. You will also deepen your understanding of the characteristics of English communication, as well as the culture and social conditions of English-speaking countries.

  • 2nd

    All Students Have the Opportunity to Experience Study Abroad

    In pre-departure training, you will deepen your understanding of intercultural contact and the relationship between culture and communication, then select a study abroad destination based on your individual interests You will connect the insights gained from your overseas experience to your future seminar research.

  • 3rd year

    Refine Your Advanced Communication Skills

    You will acquire advanced skills for organizing and conveying your opinions in English through activities such as writing essays and business documents, giving presentations, and participating in debates.

  • 4th year

    Write Your Graduation Thesis in English

    As the culmination of your studies, you will write your graduation thesis in English. This process will elevate the English proficiency and presentation abilities you have cultivated into concrete skills that are valuable in the professional world.

Japanese Performing Arts

Japanese culture has had a unique and significant influence on the world. Through video, audio, and hands-on practice, you will study the elements of Japanese culture that capture global attention—from stage design and architecture to etiquette and physical comportment—and develop the ability to explain them in English.

World Englishes

Learn about the globalization of English.

You will explore, from various perspectives, the history of how English spread as a global lingua franca for business and education, and how diverse regional varieties of English have emerged.

Intercultural Communication

Focusing on cases from the English-speaking world, you will examine the causes of misunderstanding and friction that occur when people from different cultural backgrounds interact, as well as the phenomenon of culture shock. This course will raise your intercultural awareness and your ability to solve problems in diverse environments.

Writing Lab I & II

The goal of Writing Lab I is to enable you to write clear, correct, and coherent English. Writing Lab II emphasizes individual instruction, allowing you to polish your writing skills and receive the guidance needed to complete your graduation thesis in English.
